C H R I S T M A S

This Christmas is different from the past ones, more than just the decorations... It's about being a mother... I could understand better how much a sacrifice it was for God to send His only begotten Son. Sending is not the matter, but for the Son to go through all the torture on the way to the Cross and at the Cross.. is something no parent will ever want or accept to see their child go through.

Having Zara open my eyes to understand that we are God's adopted people. We were not the chosen tribe and was never given a place in the house, till Jesus paid the price to bring us Home.

Someone once commented to me, that no one will love a child whose not their own as much as their own. I think I must say that I totally disagree with it and I believe many mummies who are like me will say the same. Whether I have another child, it's up to God and His timing.. but with or without, Zara is still my very loved daughter. Nothing is going to change that fact, since the day she came into this family. I believe the same goes for us, as we enter into God's house. If you cannot accept that a mother can love their adopted child as her own, then you will never be able to accept the truth that God loves us as His own.

Decorations done by: ME!

I'm so constantly reminded of God's love for us, the price Jesus paid on the Cross.. and how much God loves Zara, to give her a future and a hope.. having all these planned for her, that she may be in His house, even before she is born.. and how much God loves us, to bring her into our lives.

I believe!

We are going to be the biggest news in the next few days, City Harvest Church, CHC.

But in view of all and what is going to be ahead, i can only say that i believed, i believe and i'm still believing!

I was here, 13 years ago when we were still meeting at the old hollywood theatre. Back then, we were less than 8,000 people. i saw how the church love and contributed to the community. In the days of my youth, i was taught that what makes a christian from the rest is that when we make a mistake, we do not push and we do not blame, we take responsibility and we grow. Is it possible to never ever make a mistake? Let he who has no sin cast the first stone.

It was also then where we started the project 'Church without walls' and going beyond the 4 walls of the church, we entered the lives of many who are I.D and disabled. Giving them warm and a brand new meaning to life. Giving their family members a new hope and emotional support. Many lives were touched, and changed.

2003, we started the crossover project. Is it just the decision of the leaders or our senior pastor, kong hee? i would say, it is our project. This is our church, this is our crossover, this is our project and this is our decision. Just like many other projects whether is it to build schools or orphanages, the purpose was to touch and change lives.

In this journey, i went for quite a couple of the trips and each time, it move me to tears standing there in the midst of the concert or event, see the many lives changed. The smile, the joy and the hope that was put on the people's face once again.

Though much will be said on the first round of the court hearing starting this coming wednesday, 15th May. I will say, i trust in the integrity of our leaders that nothing was used for personal gains and no money was 'lost' as mentioned by the media.

I believed, i believe and i'm still believing!

Flower of the day

My choice: Iris and tulips

Primary Significance: With history dating back to Greek mythology, irises come in a rainbow of colors, the most popular being the deep blue variety. Their primary meanings include faith, hope, wisdom, courage, and admiration. Where tulips are a comfortable flower choice and one that expresses perfect love.

With striking uniqueness and beauty, iris have rich meanings, and when given as gifts, they can convey deep sentiments. With over 200 varieties in a wide spectrum of colors, the iris, which fittingly takes its name from the Greek word for "rainbow," can be found in virtually every part of the world, growing both naturally and in farms. While garden irises can come in any of these many varieties, the flower's cut versions are mostly blue (the most popular type), white, and yellow. Tulips are not too elegant, too romantic, too big, too small, or too bright; the tulip is always just right. They are like a favorite pair of jeans or your mom's fresh-baked cookies in that the meanings of tulips express genuine coziness and comfort in all of the right ways. Hence when the 2 comes together, there is a complete sentiments and comfort, with the deep meaning of perfect love, faith, hope, wisdom, courage and admiration. There is no better gift than the combination of these 2.
