The Parenting Journey

I have been down with flu the past few days and cannot stick close to Zara.. so i decided to take some time to write about how was the journey thus far..

The past months have been quite a journey as i learn to be a mother..
learning, reading, experimenting about parenting...

The one thing i learnt is really that parenting is like a religion and you should NEVER enter into a debate with anyone about parenting style :p

There are different school of thought for EVERYTHING!
- Eating methods
- Sleeping methods
- what milk formula
- what moisturiser
- discipling methods

There are always different ways of doing things and which is the best way?
I believe, different parents + different child = requires a different method
Even same parents, different child requires a different method
A method works for one doesn't mean it will work for all
but i think parents should be open to try different methods if one does not work, until you find the method that works best for you :)

TRANSITIONS
When a training method is in place, there may be times that you will realise that you are moving backwards in the training.

Take for example: sleep training, suddenly you realise that your child wakes up in the middle of the night for milk.
don't panic :)

There are different transitions that will cause sudden change in habits example:
- growth spur
- travelling
- break in other routines
- sickness
- changes in environment
- new inclusion to family

Don't worry about these periods because they will pass and they do not mean that your method is not working :)

Stay in Barcelona (Part 5) Sagrada Familia Church by Antoni Gaudi

This is the final works of Antoni Gaudi and from the photos you will see that this church is still under construction. There are 2 sides to this church and will notice that the ending few photos, the style is very different from all the other part of the church. It is because the back of this church is done by another designer who is more of abstract artist, therefore the style differs a lot from Gaudi's work.

I took many close-up photos of the details. So take time to enjoy every little detail that are put into this building. It is art, it is a masterpiece. There is so much going on that but taking a glance, you would have missed out on so much more.

You can see that the lay out of the church is like the tabernacle of the old testament. Where there is a outer court, Holy place and Holy of Holies (where the sculpture of Jesus is hanging over) as shown in the photos above.

Rustic Homes

Rustic designs have been like the IN thing lately with all the use of cartons and palettes.

Wanted to do some for my house decoration too. But cannot really fit into the theme i have in mind. Haha might just have a little in my balcony if i have time to do them up!

Furniture shopping

This is one of the most exciting thing to do, when preparing for you new house!
Shopping around for chairs, sofa, cupboards!!!

Many would have used this as a dinning table because it is a dinning table!
But loving this table and yet it does not fit my living room design, i got it for my study instead!

Saw the cupboard on the left? it is made of Acacia wood!
For those who know what Acacia wood are, they are wood that by right will not rot or decay due to the way it is 'constructed'!
The sofa on the right is what i really like!
Love both of these so much but too pricy for now i guess.. =(

I'm trying to find a nice and yet comfortable chair to match the study table....

Oriental beginning!

Every season is the mark of the new trend. So are you ready for what season is ahead?

No one prepares for winter only when winter comes. No fashionist should be hit by the next wave without first being prepared!

Beginning May, i have been looking at oriental designs and have been quite into them! Then i realized, it is going to be the winter trend 2013! I am prepared, are you?

Below is the heads up of some of the oriental designs coming up by various designers!

Looks like 'winter' is coming earlier for me! I'm totally loving it and i will probably starts this event before the trend hits!

I'm not after trends, i'm living by my style.

For all i know, it always happens to be in trend!
