Perspective

Many times in life people tend to only view things from their own perspective, their world is like a 2D image where they never tries to see it from another point of view. Maybe one day, when you discover the other side to the story, it's already too late.

One day, a father out of his duty and his promise, brought the son out for fishing. Being a successful businessman, he begin to feel very unfruitful sitting on a boat, in a lake, under the blazing Sun. After spending the whole day out in the Sun fishing, the father came back feeling all wore out and felt that it was a completely wasted day. Many years past and one day the son met with an accident and left without a word. And as they begin to pack his things, under his bed they found a small box containing his diaries. 

On the very same day, the father felt it was a completely wasted day, his entry goes... 

"Today is one of my happiest day, as i went fishing with my dad. He is a very successful businessman and the sole bread winner of the family. i am very proud of him and would want to be just like him when i grow up. Today it has been such a fruitful day, being able to spend time with my dad. Looking forward for more times like this."

After reading this, the father could not help it but wept.

Some times you may find that it has been a waste of time to have done something for someone, but you never know the impact you have made on the person's life and the influence over the person's future.

Love is about GIVING. Until you stop thinking of what you want the person to do for you and start thinking what you can do and how you can bless the person, you have not loved. the word used for-thinking what the person can do for you, get for you, bless you with etc. is non other than LUST. That's the difference between the 2.

if all you think of is whether the person can lead you; love you more than you love the person; able to provide all your needs and desires; give you a wonderful future 

AND NOT, 

how you can help the person grow; how you can love or bless the person more; how can you all build a future together

THEN, 

maybe you dun really love the person, you are just lusting for someone to fill up a void in your life.
