Many people saw my photo on this Ikea Molger shelf and commented so i decided to do a review on this! So here are my thoughts and review on this IKEA Molger Shelf, if you are intending to get one!
Firstly, i think it is a very good idea to utilise the 'unusable' space that is taken up by the toilet bowl. Many times, we try to put things on toilet bowl box where the plush button is and hope that they don't drop. When i saw this at IKEA i loved the idea!
So here's my unbiased review:
- It can only be used again a flat wall with nothing behind the toilet bowl. There a lot of toilet nowadays with this kind of built-in backing and make sure your tap is not in the way. So make sure you take your measurement properly.
- The shelf is VERY light hence, it is easy to fix and put it up. However, with its light weigh, it is IMPORTANT to ensure that the shelf is level properly by adjusting the legs as shown below.
If you have not realised, all our toilet floor is slanted so that water can be drained away. So every bit counts. Ensure that the shelf is properly fitted before putting anything on it.
- If you want to be very safe, you can get the shelf drilled to the wall.
Personally i don't like to drill things into my wall so i just have to make sure the legs are accurately adjusted. :)
- The shelf levels CANNOT be adjusted. So it limits the height of the items you can place on this shelf. There are also gaps, not very big though so you don't have worry that your handphone will drop through but please do not put small accessories pieces hoping that they will not roll off into the toilet bowl.
- Lastly, value for money? In the image below i have included the image of the code and measurement for you, for easy reference and you can just show the IKEA staff for purchase.
I personally think that S$99 for this is a bit expensive compared to the many other cheap shelving they have. For the idea of using an 'unusable' space, i still bought it anyway. If you are expecting very high quality wood or product because of the price you are paying... Not really... in fact there were some visible scratch marks already on it.
Hope this review helps you to make the decision and also for you to get all the measurements ready before making a wasted trip down to the nearest IKEA. :)

Ikea Besta Burs High Gloss Desk Review
This is the Besta Burs High gloss white desk from ikea that maybe many of you would love to buy one or own one. I bought one, less than 2 years ago at S$549 and this is the review I have about this desk.
The high gloss surface looks really really beautiful and makes you want to have it. Many will consider that fact that many fingerprints will be left on the beautiful surface, just like I did.
But fingerprints were not my problems. A few weeks back, I was packing my desk and taking a really close look, which I seldom do, I realized a long crack runs along the whole length go the surface. I was quite shock because the desk was never moved, so it wouldn't be caused by any banging or having hit against anything! Also the desk was never used for heavy items that would cause the crack.
Apart from that long long crack, I also had a hole on the surface that is caused by UHU glue. I accidentally dripped a drop of glue on the surface and the high gloss surface melted!
Like anyone who have paid this amount for a desk, would be rather sad and disappointed to know that this table is not gong to last any longer. The price verses the lifespan ratio makes it rather not worth it.
Going to look for better desk! :)

Joy Killer!
So disappointed i rather not get anything!
I am sure you have had this kind of experience before too! Lately, i have many such unpleasant encounters with salesperson from the shop! Their rudeness and attitude simply turns me away, leaving me such unhappiness i did rather do without the item.
I asked for the price of a perfume and the salesperson went "hundred plus~", i replied "hundred plus?!?" cause i was expecting an exact amount. The salesperson then responded with an attitude like i could not afford it "yes, hundred plus!" It was a complete turn off for my day, i left for home.
Ever tried entering a shop where the salesperson follow you wherever you go, making you feel totally uncomfortable to shop further? To make things worse, some of them even arrange every item you touched, giving you the impression that you are messing up their display.
The joy of shopping is very much affected but the people we meet and the people we go shopping with. Complete joy or joy killer. With the same amount of money or even more, i rather buy something from a shop with a really nice salesperson, than the shop with an unpleasant one! A good salesperson will know how to make you feel comfortable and want to go back again! What are you willing to pay for? The item or an experience?
Shopping is all about the joy behind the experience!

Dream to Reality
Have a design of a particular dress or clothes in mind but have no idea what to do? why not draw it out and put your dream to reality? There are many dressmakers, tailer or seamstress out there that can help you realize this dream, however you should be very careful to check that the workmanship is good and it is worth the price you are paying! What is cheap may not be bad, but what is expensive may also not be good.
Below is a dress i designed myself, not just a dream, but a reality! This was taken on board a yacht together with my husband.

You can make your dream come true too!

All that i ATE!
This restaurant is black listed by me! Hahahaha! Food is expensive and service is BAD! the people really couldn't be bothered to serve you and they are not very honest. We ordered the smallest portion but i am quite sure it is not. because how can the smallest portion cost us more than S$20 for a plate of roasted pork and the BBQ pork. Total we spent nearly S$40 and they did not want to give us the receipt breakdown of the price. Disappointing for a high class restaurant like them. For the terrible service and the ok food, i will rate is a 2 star. But for the bad service, i might never wanna go back there for food.
This is a cafe at Sheung Wan. Food is not bad. A simple place. The breakfast set is really worth it. It's almost breakfast 'cum' lunch for us. Spent less than S$10 for all that's below. i will rate it a 3 star.

This is located at Tsim Sha Tsui, along the main road at level 10. A quite new restaurant that just started operation for 2 months. Not very expensive, quite nice food. Can get a 3.5 star. The peanut with seaweed side dish given at the beginning will be charged. You can tell them you don't want it but it's worth trying because it's really nice. Total we spent around S$20 for the 2 of us.

This is a "Dian Zhi Mian" store in Prince Edward Road that we entered, hoping to fill our stomach. The food turns out to be quite bad. DO NOT order the pig knuckles there because it is not what you did be expecting. Below is the photo of the pig knuckles we got, it is really a pig leg and you can see the feet. Vegetable is so-so only, no taste and not fresh. i will rate it 1.5 star only. Spent around S$12 on these.

MUST TRY! i would give this store a 5 star! This is a "Mian" store located at Sheung Wan. Take the Exit B and you will see a Circle K Supermart across the street. This store is located right beside the Circle K mart. The Ramen is so nice we went back the 2nd time. The meat are very very well marinated and this is like that real Hong Kong food! Spent only S$17 on these.

Very nice desert store at Shim Tsui Po. It's a very very small shop that you might have just passed it by if you do not give attention to it enough. Deserts are really nice, very good attitude services. There's the hot healthy kind and also the cooling favored snow with their interesting toppings. i will give it a 4 star! Spent S$10 on these.

This is our last stop at the airport before checking in, at the level 3 of Airport Terminal 1 in Hong Kong. i will give it a overall 3 star. Prices are ok, food is not too bad. Soya sauce chicken, 3rd picture below taste good.
