Proverbs 12

Proverbs 12 (Amplified Bible)

1) WHOEVER LOVES instruction and correction loves knowledge, but he who hates reproof is like a brute (cruel, unpleasant, insensitive, unreasoning) beast, stupid and indiscriminating (making no distinctions).

2) A good man obtains favor from the Lord, but a man of wicked devices (scheme or trick) He condemns.

3) A man shall not be established by wickedness, but the root of the [uncompromisingly] righteous shall never be moved.

4) A virtuous (showing high moral standards) and worthy wife [earnest and strong in character] is a crowning joy to her husband, but she who makes him ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.

5) The thoughts and purposes of the [consistently] righteous are honest and reliable, but the counsels and designs of the wicked are treacherous (guilty, involving betrayal or deception).

6) The words of the wicked lie in wait for blood, but the mouth of the upright shall deliver them and the innocent ones [thus endangered].

7) The wicked are overthrown (removed forcefully by power) and are not, but the house of the [uncompromisingly] righteous shall stand.

8) A man shall be commended according to his Wisdom [godly Wisdom, which is comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God], but he who is of a perverse (contrary to the accepted or expected standard or practice) heart shall be despised.

9) Better is he who is lightly esteemed but works for his own support than he who assumes honor for himself and lacks bread.

10) A [consistently] righteous man regards (connect with or concern about) the life of his beast (pet or animal), but even the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.

11) He who tills his land shall be satisfied with bread, but he who follows worthless pursuits is lacking in sense and is without understanding.

12) The wicked desire the booty (valuable stolen goods) of evil men, but the root of the [uncompromisingly] righteous yields [richer fruitage].

13) The wicked is [dangerously] snared (catch or trap) by the transgression of his lips, but the [uncompromisingly] righteous shall come out of trouble.

14) From the fruit of his words a man shall be satisfied with good, and the work of a man's hands shall come back to him [as a harvest].

15) The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but he who listens to counsel is wise.

16) A fool's wrath is quickly and openly known, but a prudent (showing care or thought for the future) man ignores an insult.

17) He who breathes out truth shows forth righteousness (uprightness and right standing with God), but a false witness utters deceit (the act or practice of deceiving someone by concealing or misrepresenting the truth).

18) There are those who speak rashly (proceeding from a lack of careful consideration of the possible consequences of his words), like the piercing of a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.

19) Truthful lips shall be established forever, but a lying tongue is [credited] but for a moment.

20) Deceit is in the hearts of those who devise evil, but for the counselors of peace there is joy.

21) No [actual] evil, misfortune, or calamity shall come upon the righteous, but the wicked shall be filled with evil, misfortune, and calamity.

22) Lying lips are extremely disgusting and hateful to the Lord, but they who deal faithfully are His delight.

23) A prudent man is reluctant to display his knowledge, but the heart of [self-confident] fools proclaims their folly.

24) The hand of the diligent will rule, but the slothful will be put to forced labor.

25) Anxiety in a man's heart weighs it down, but an encouraging word makes it glad.

26) The [consistently] righteous man is a guide to his neighbor, but the way of the wicked causes others to go astray.

27) The slothful man does not catch his game or roast it once he kills it, but the diligent man gets precious possessions.

28) Life is in the way of righteousness (moral and spiritual rectitude in every area and relation), and in its pathway there is no death but immortality (perpetual, eternal life).

Wisdom?

Wisdom?

In need of...
Wisdom on how to do well for your work or studies?
Wisdom on how to build good relationships?
Wisdom on how to be a good child, a good wife or husband?
Basically wisdom for anything?

Proverbs 1:7
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction.

What is this fear mentioned above?
It is not an unpleasant emotion or to be afraid of...
what then is this fear?
It is the reverence you give to the Lord over your life and the honor to the Lord that you will not do anything that will upset Him

One of the weapon that the devil often use is, to put in us a confidence of ourselves. A confidence that we are right; a confidence that we can do it with our own strength; a confidence that we will not sin. And because of this confidence in us, the devil often put us at the edge of the cliff.

But the fact is, why would you want to walk by the cliff when you can keep yourself away from it? EVEN IF you know that you will not slip off, why put it to test?

Don't be overly confident with yourself. Fear of the Lord is the BEGINNING of ALL WISDOM!

Differences vs. Similarities

Differences vs. Similarities

The creation of man was God's unique masterpiece where no one man in this world is similar in every way. But yet in the midst of His beautiful creation, there are also similarities of people in some way or another.

There's nothing wrong to be similar in some ways, neither is it wrong to be different in other ways. Because of this uniqueness in creation that consist of both similarities and differences at the same time, human behavior also varies with similarities and differences.

A certain group of people just like to be equal with others, they will try their outermost ability to keep up with the rest, desiring everything to be the same. Some people call them, the 'herd'.

While there are the others who just like to be different. They don't like to do what others are doing or the way others are doing things. They simply like it their own, uniquely. When they realized that people are 'copying' them, they often feels very uncomfortable and tend to make a change for something new. Some people call this group of people the 'eagles' who doesn't like to just flock together.

There's nothing wrong with either because anything taken to an extreme is error. The key is still to be balance.

Take for example,
some people like to buy clothes that are exactly the same and wear them together. Nothing wrong, perfectly alright. But there are those who don't really like to see someone wearing the same thing with them and there's nothing wrong with that too! Have you tried looking for a nice dress for a special dinner and finally found one that you fall head over heels with and during the dinner, you saw someone you know wearing the exact same dress.

I guess i am the kind that likes to be different, to a certain extend. Like i say, to a certain extend. So things that are more common or necessities i am not so particular of course, like what bible i buy, what toiletry brand i use, how i pray etc. But other than that, i don't buy what others already have and sometimes i don't like others to buy what i have.  I guess most creative people will like to be different. *So stop trying to be like me*

I truly believe that there's nothing wrong to be unique because i serve a VERY UNIQUE and CREATIVE God! =D

Betrayal with a Kiss!

Betrayal with a Kiss!

Have you ever felt like, not all who are with you are for you?

Don't worry because you ain't alone in this!
Even Jesus had Judas Iscariot... One of the 12 CLOSEST to Him, who even betrayed Him with a kiss.

If you wonder why?
Read Matthew 13:24-30 "The Parable of the Wheat and the Tares"

24 Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field;
25 but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way.
26 But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared.
27 So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’
28 He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’
29 But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them.
30 Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.”’”

The fact is, God knows that the devil has planted tares in the field but yet He allowed them to grow TOGETHER.

Because, in the process of growing, most of the time, the roots of the wheat and tares will grow and tangles together, forming relationships and friendships with one another. As such, if we are to remove those who are 'against' us, some of those who are for us will also be removed at the same time because of the relationships or friendship they have with them in the midst of growing together. So in order to ensure that no wheat will be removed in the midst of removing the tares, God allowed them to grow together, until the Day of the Harvesting.

A kiss being a symbolism of love and reverence was also the weapon that the devil made use of to put Jesus on His trail and brought Him to the cross. But be of good cheer, for it all happened for a purpose and God is in control! =D

Is it just about you? (Part 2)

Is it just about YOU? (Part 2)

Respect is only given when honor is given to whom honor is due.

Did not the bible talks about the honoring of the weaker vessel?
So what if you are the boss of a certain company? If you do not give honor to the employees that are older, who are physically a weaker vessel, no one will give you the respect that is due to you too...

Met an unpleasant rich guy last week... rich, driving a relatively very good car but so what. He drove into other people's things because of his poor driving skills and stare at people as though its their fault and did not even apologise... people really don't care how rich you are or how famous you are if you don't learn to honor others.

If you expect others to respect you, you first got to honor others. Respect is earned not demand...

i used to have a principal who seems to be a very nice person till we saw the other side of her, where she started to scold the students like they are rubbish, just because of $10 school building fund. Over $10! She lost control of herself and even kicked one of my classmate. From then on, all the respect she had ever earned was lost in just one incident.

Many great leaders are great not for the things they achieve all their lives, but the respect they earned from the people because of the honor they have for others.

Don't judge others according to your standard. Render the honor to those who do not have the same gifts as you do. There will also be areas that they are better than you. We are all given gifts and talents by God, according to different measures at different point of our lives. Hence, do not boast about them like they come from you, lest they are taken away from you.

By what authority...?

By what authority...?

Yes, there is power in our confession, but yet in terms of the LEVEL of power in that word is based on the AUTHORITY behind that word.

Matthew 21:23
"By what authority are you doing these things?" they asked. "And who gave you this authority?"

Example #1:
When the boss of a certain company sets the salary of the employees, no matter how much the employees or other people confess that they should be paid a different amount, it is not going to change the salary they are taking because the word was given by a higher authority.

Example #2:
You went to a designer's store and saw a vase. It was created to look like a vase and act like a vase. no matter how many times you can confess to the vase that it's a pen, it will still remain as a vase because the INITAL purpose of its creation was to be a vase and it is in the authority of the designer that created it as a vase.

Same goes, no matter what others say about you, it is not going to change the fact that you are the child of God and that you are created for the very purpose God have called you to. No matter what people say and confess about you, it is not going to change God's call in your life and God's perspective of you! You are who God created you to be, not what others say you are.

Others can say whatever they want about the word of God, but it is not gonna change the word of God at all because the word of God is the highest form of authority!

The power of confessed words can change situations only when it is spoken out of the right authority. If the word of God is the highest form of authority, then why would you choose to confess out of your own will or your own confidence? By what authority are you confessing it with?

Yet, to be able to be confessing out of the word of God and with the authority of God, requires us to first KNOW the word of God! Knowledge is power, for you cannot confess what you do not know and you will not know what you do not spend time to learn or study.

Times of my youth!

Times of my youth!

With all the recent 'slogans' coming back, it makes me feel like i am reliving my youth...
Those familiar words that have guided me through my youth...
"Others can i can't"
"Your word is your bond"
"Ability attracts ability"
"A living sacrifice"
and so many so many more...

it has been a good 9 years...
from the times of my youth i remember...
all the calls of my life that have changed the course of my life...
looking back, i saw the love and the grace of God that saw me through all of my days and every step of my way...

Great achievements, tremendous results
milestones after milestones...
that only marks the course of my life...
these doesn't really matters...
compared to the encounters with Him...
times we stand face to face...
prayers in the secret...
revelations from God...
convictions the Word brings...
the lamp unto my feet...
light unto my path...
for He paths the way of my feet...
no longer i...
but Him who lives in me...
a commitment to Him...
my household and i will serve Him all the days of our lives...

Is it just about YOU? (Part 1)

Is it just about YOU? (Part 1)

"I" don't like this person
"I" am not happy with the way this person work
"I" think i cannot submit to this person
"I" just don't like the way this person talk
"I..." "I..." "I..."

Is your whole world only about YOU?

Very often i heard complains about this and about that...
Complaining about parents, teachers, CG leaders, class chairman, CCA leaders etc...
i used to be like this too...
but when i was younger, the Lord spoke to me strongly about honoring the people He placed above us...

Romans 13:1-2
1 Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.
2 Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves.

Clearly the Lord spoke to me that ALL authorities comes from ABOVE!
whether i think or feel that they are good or not, it doesn't matter AT ALL!
and because God is the one that ordained them and i give honor to whom honor is due!
For the the benefit of anyone but the bible says that it's for ourselves...

Hebrew 13:17
17 Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you.

God placed them over us for a purpose and whether we understand the purpose anot, it doesn't matter too...
Until you have learnt to honor the authorities God have placed over you, that same honor will be given to you.

Others can, i can't (Part 2)

Others can, i can't... (Part 2)

What does it mean to be set apart?

We are set apart to live a Godly lifestyle. Like the examples i gave in the earlier post, the things that i can't do are those which hurt others and doesn't bring glory to God. In the bible, beattitudes talks about all the lifestyle that we got to embrace to live our lives for God and they are suppose to be the foundation of our character.

Yet, many people complains about the sacrifices they made and compares themselves with others. Sometimes they even got bitter and upset with man and with God that others are succeeding in life.

But to be set apart doesn't mean that you become exclusive, excluding yourself from everyone else or excluding others. But instead, it is to be inclusive of others through your lifestyle of holiness.

Did not the bible say that "If anyone serves Me, my Father will honor"?

so STOP COMPARING! Don't be like Peter who will ask Jesus, "what about John?"
What the Lord have spoken to others got NOTHING to do with you! You have your calling and your destiny in God.

Many people look at what others does and try to do what others are doing. God gave each of us talents, so make use of what God have given you and make them fruitful, not what you do not have.

Others can, i can't (Part 1)

Others can, i can't... (Part 1)

For many many years, i grew up in this saying, "Others can, i can't.." and for the many years, these words have kept me align to the will of God. But yet, nowadays people stop using this phrase anymore.

To some people, this might sound like i am restricted to do things, but the truth is, through the disciplining of my life, i have enjoyed greater freedom. True freedom can only be found in the presence of God.

Some may wonder, what are the things that i can't do that others can? Simple.
I cannot abuse my body.
I cannot be ill disciplined.
I cannot be lukewarm.
I cannot be a lier or a talebearer.
I cannot be dishonorable to the people God placed in my life.
The list just goes on and on and on...

This is not about restriction, but instead, a even greater word called SANCTIFICATION!
Which means, to be set apart for God to do His will. I have NEVER regret since the day i decided to follow Him and set my life apart for Him.

But the bible said, before sanctification can take place, there must first be cleansing by the Word of God. Therefore let us not leave our foundation behind because the Word of God is the foundation of our walk with God. Jesus is the word of God made fresh. As much as we love the word, we love the Lord.

Cleansing (through the Word of God)  --> Sanctification (by setting ourselves apart for Him) --> Glorification (bringing glory to God)

Renew the victim mindset!

Renew that VICTIM mindset!

"oh i sin BECAUSE my friend told me to do it."
"i didn't serve God BECAUSE my parents don't want me to do it."
"i never read the bible and pray BECAUSE i got to wake up very early for school and my teacher give me alot of homework."
"i am stumbled BECAUSE my neighbor did something that i am not comfort with."

Are you a victim of circumstances?

Recently i watched the Singapore Idol and there was this part where the people are place before the judges for the 2nd time to plead for themselves the reason why they should be given a second chance.

They were all given an equal period of time to prepare and to practice before the contest. but yet when they stood before the judge and failed to deliver results like others do, they gave 'reasons' for themselves.

"I forgot the lyrics BECAUSE i was too nervous."
"Can i be given the 2nd chance BECAUSE i chose the wrong song."
"I was not prepared BECAUSE i was not feeling well this morning."

What is true in the natural is also true in the supernatural. Just like the spiritual world. God gave all of us time on earth to prepare our fruit to stand before Him on the last day. but yet when they stood before the Judge and failed to deliver their fruit like others did, they blame it on the situation they were in; the people God placed in their lives etc.

"my wife You gave me, did not allow me to serve in full time."
"my parents stop me from going for cell group."
"the leader You placed in my life, caused me to be stumbled."
"i am born into a less wealthy family, that's why i was not about to give my tithe."
"i am born to be less intellectual than my friends and siblings, so i got to depend more on my own strength to study more, so i cannot come to church."
"from young i was sexually abused, so i grew up living a lose life."

Do you know what was the remarks of the judge in Singapore Idol to all the reasons they gave?
"Why can't you all just admit that you screw up?"

If so, what do you think will be God's responses to all our excuses?
Why can't we just humble ourselves to say that we are wrong and we will change?
Is God not more concern of your character than your comfort?
Did not the Bible says that, obedience is better than sacrifice?

STEP OUT of your VICTIM mindset!
Renewing of our mind, through the word of God, brings forth FAITH for breakthrough!

Someone ever told me this:
"The different between a believer and a non-believer is NOT that we do not sin, but its that, even if we do, we take RESPONSIBILITY of the mistake we made."

Ai Xin Salad!

Ai Xin Salad!
Hehe...

The Lost Princess

it has been a long time since this blog is updated...
actually even the words in June were given beforehand..

Where did the promises that things will be better after exams and there will be more activities went to?
somehow things did change after exams, but for the worse since the end of his exams in the 2nd last week of May.

after his exams, he went for 4 interviews out of the 5 weekdays
Saturdays are always kept for his members
then he started work the very next week on the 1st of June
with the new job he works from 830am to 7pm on the weekdays
feeling very very tire after work, we could hardly spend much time
then left sundays, which he sometimes want to spend it with his family or with kl and wenkai they all
2 weeks past and he told me its because he just started working and i got to give him time
well one month plus had past and nothing improved
somehow i felt that it got worse
he got even more tire easily
some monday evening we will spend it at the gym and then go home and relax
tuesday got meeting then he will be very tire
wednesdays he got tuition and he will be tire and want to go home after that
thursdays he wants to stay home to prepare for cg and rest
fridays and saturdays are for his members
sundays are shared evenly among me, family and friends

we just crossed our 8th month on the 2nd of July with the record of only not meeting for 16 days out of the 8 months
somehow most of the time i am the one looking for him, finding him at his house etc
and this coming 8 months i am planning to just be normal and don't make special effort to be the one finding him when he doesn't want to meet and see how many days will we not meet if i don't find him
and in just the past 2 weeks, we already went unmet for 3 days

nowadays he gets tire very easily and i know that he got work
but whenever he is with his members and he can just stay up all night with them, talk to him on the phone enthusiastically and gets to busy to even say 'hi' to me when he is with his members
makes me feel completely not important, or maybe worse
for no better choice of words, 'i'm asking for it'

last night i was completely tore and reached one of my ceilings when after weifang cg i was suppose to meet him to eat together
i called him when i was on the way to his house on a cab because i know he want to prepare sermon and i scare he is tire, hoping that i can meet him along the coffeeshop to buy food
but to realized he had ate without me, feeling disappointed i asked whether he can walk out to buy food with me because i am VERY HUNGRY and actually i got no money with me
he sounded so reluctant and asked me to just buy food myself and go to the house
i felt so broken, so unwanted and it makes me feel like, why am i doing all this and what for?
though in the end he still did walk out a bit, but i didn't buy food and just ate abit of cereal at his house
and though he did apologize and promise that he won't do it again
this time the feelings and the pain just can't go away

i hate to feel like this and i don't want to harden my heart or my emotions against him because i know that when i do, i can be really hard

A wake up call

A WAKE UP CALL?

it has been 7 years!
7 years since i met up with any of my Secondary school friends
somehow it felt like there was a cut off from the outside world, from my own world for the past 7 years...
i guess i have been trying so hard to be a light, that i forgot to shine...
trying to love so much that i forgot how to love...

Where were the times where i would spend time loving and truly being a friend to someone who really cares for me.
let me rephrase...
not that i have not love those of you who are with me now
i do and i really do love all of you
but where are those who were with me?

we always say that relationship precedes ministry
but yet, how many relationships have we kept and is still keeping them?
what good is it to be just doing the right things and keeping our task, but failed to be there for our families and friends when they needed us most.

loving is NOT and should NOT be a job or duty
it should be PART of who we are

awhile ago my secondary school class had a gathering
i was not told and i was not informed
in fact i do not have contact with ANY of them for the past 7 years
and one thing glad is that, IT'S NOT TOO LATE!
they actually asked about me and i have also made arrangement to meet up with some of them this month
while i am still trying to get contacted to the rest who are lost
this really reminded me, to love those whom i really love and do really care, deep down inside me

My Birthday Wish...

My Birthday Wish...

Yesterday i went out for some shopping
tried some shoes and some clothes
and i am trying to change my way of dressing
hahaha...
but in the end i didnt buy anything
actually i seldom really spend much on shopping
i feel that, most of the time, my money goes missing because i am cheated by some companies here and there...

-     M1 vodafone
lost and still got to pay for the vodafone and contract = $463
-     Air Asia Tickets to Bandung
paid but don't get to go = $216.50
-     Identity Card
left wallet at Illuma and someone took it = $100
-     New Wallet
left it at Illuma and someone took it = $65
-     Renewal of passport = $70
-     Made new spectacles
cause broke at Sofitel Resort in JB = $270
-     New Ipod
previous one stolen at Sofitel Resort in JB = $280
-     Money stolen in Sofitel Resort in JB = $200

Haix...
maybe i should wish that misfortune like this stop happening to me
in just one year i lost close to $2000 for nothing
but well, i believe that this year will be the best year yet of my life!

i tink i need a fully paid for shopping spree for just one day...
actually i don't think i will spend alot, at least not up to $2000 =.=
but the thought of having it being fully paid for is really very very good
wahaha...
the ability to shop without looking at the price tag even in the midst of GSS

will any of you love me so much to sponsor me for a shopping spree for a day?
pls~ 0.0

Word For The Day #244

Tenebrous
Dark; gloomy

Originally?

Originally?

Analyzing the issues of life and began to dwell on a topic, why do people change?

i guess many people who knew me earlier have all said this very short and simple sentence to me before and sometimes i too wonder why do people change, whether for better or for worse. Change is still the very constant of our life. Whether seen changes or the unseen ones.

Why do people stop loving and why do people stop serving? Many changes are brought about by the issue of love. As the faithful saying goes, the heart of the matter is always the matter of the heart.

i use to always say this to my ex-W341 members, that love is a decision and no one really falls out of love. it's just that somewhere along the line whether is it knowingly or unknowingly they made a decision in their heart to stop loving and to stop allowing themselves to feel hurt by the other person causing an emotional shutdown on the inside, hence love cannot flow. However, the root of the matter is not the decision itself but instead, its the 'thing' that causes the 'inner vow' to be made.

After my analogy, i concluded one of the root that will cause the love to die. Losing all forms of passion and willingness to keep on loving. (Pls note that this is base on MY analogy and you may have your own analogy too. Pls also note that this is just ONE of the root.)

When things are brought out of their original purpose or usage, it causes a mis-use of the item or in another word, abuse. People always say that love got to have 'chemistry', so i am going to bring my analogy to a reference of medicine.

Medicine (drugs) are created for our benefit but yet when there's drug abuse, people experience side effects that are not expected. Even water, one of the healthiest drink, when taken too much it will cause your iron level to drop and taken to an extreme it can even be fatal.

Have you ever mis-used the trust; the love; the willingness; the faithfulness that people have for you? The signs and symptoms of abuse are, when they stop trusting you; stop loving you as much as they used to or would want to; decrease in willingness to serve and do favors for you; drop in the level of faithfulness over the things you place over them and entertaining the thoughts of leaving or moving on. And this can cause a fatal death on the relationship over prolonged period of time.

My Bedtime Story =)

Valentine Roses
A touching story.......

Red roses were her favorites, her name was also Rose.
And every year her husband sent them, tied with pretty bows.
The year he died, the roses were delivered to her door.
The card said, "Be my Valentine," like all the years before.

Each year he sent her roses, and the note would always say,
"I love you even more this year, than last year on this day."
"My love for you will always grow, with every passing year."
She knew this was the last time that the roses would appear.

She thought, he ordered roses in advance before this day.
Her loving husband did not know, that he would pass away.
He always liked to do things early, way before the time.
Then, if he got too busy, everything would work out fine.

She trimmed the stems, and placed them in a very special vase.
Then, sat the vase beside the portrait of his smiling face.
She would sit for hours, in her husband's favorite chair.
While staring at his picture, and the roses sitting there.

A year went by, and it was hard to live without her mate.
With loneliness and solitude, that had become her fate.
Then, the very hour, as on Valentines before,
The doorbell rang, and there were roses, sitting by her door

She brought the roses in, and then just looked at them in shock.
Then, went to get the telephone, to call the florist shop.
The owner answered, and she asked him, if he would explain,
Why would someone do this to her, causing her such pain?

"I know your husband passed away, more than a year ago,"
The owner said, "I knew you'd call, and you would want to know."
"The flowers you received today, were paid for in advance."
"Your husband always planned ahead, he left nothing to chance."

"There is a standing order, that I have on file down here,
And he has paid, well in advance, you'll get them every year.
There also is another thing, that I think you should know,
He wrote a special little card...he did this years ago."

"Then, should ever, I find out that he's no longer here,
That's the card...that should be sent, to you the following year."
She thanked him and hung up the phone, her tears now flowing hard.
Her fingers shaking, as she slowly reached to get the card.

Inside the card, she saw that he had written her a note.
Then, as she stared in total silence, this is what he wrote...
"Hello my love, I know it's been a year since I've been gone,
I hope it hasn't been too hard for you to overcome."

"I know it must be lonely, and the pain is very real.
For if it was the other way, I know how I would feel.
The love we shared made everything so beautiful in life.
I loved you more than words can say, you were the perfect wife."

"You were my friend and lover, you fulfilled my every need.
I know it's only been a year, but please try not to grieve.
I want you to be happy, even when you shed your tears.
That is why the roses will be sent to you for years."

"When you get these roses, think of all the happiness,
That we had together, and how both of us were blessed.
I have always loved you and I know I always will.
But, my love, you must go on, you have some living still."

"Please...try to find happiness, while living out your days.
I know it is not easy, but I hope you find some ways.
The roses will come every year, and they will only stop,
When your door's not answered, when the florist stops to knock."

"He will come five times that day, in case you have gone out.
But after his last visit, he will know without a doubt,
To take the roses to the place, where I've instructed him,
And place the roses where we are, together once again."

MAC-Donalds Again~

Another night of studying at MAC!
One thing that is proved during this period of studying
Macdonalds is super super fattening with alot of saturated fats!

SHOES again?

SHOES Again?

Recently Charles & Keith have been coming out with a lot of shoes that meets my "Shoes Standard Criteria". Went to one of the outlets at Bugis and saw at least 6 shoes that caught my attention!

Let's go through a few pointers of these standards that i have:

1) There must be a certain thickness at the toe area so that there is no direct impact on the ground. This will help when it comes to walking long distances or standing for hours because the thickness in front helps to lower the direct impact of your feet to the ground.

2) It must be a open-toe concept because of my toes structure, hence will be more comfortable.

3) It will be best if the heel of my leg is not covered so that there will not be blasters, but to a certain extend if the shoes meets the first 2 standards, i will still consider it even it the back is covered. Case by case basis.

The one thing about shoes is of course not just about the outlook of it, but also most importantly, is the COMFORT! That is the reason why i always prefer to get my own shoes, so that i can try and ensure it fits me!

*If you really feel led to bless me with a pair of shoes, Charles & Keith vouchers will be the MOST welcomed gift. =D

The Benefits of Eating Fish Oil

Saw an article on www.bellaonline.com
talking about the benefits of Omega 3 for women, but at the same time it applies to guys also la. Just that this is women's site, hence the focus on women. Below is the article. =)

11 Omega 3 Benefits for Women

Are there omega 3 benefits exclusive to women? You can bet your life on it! And these omega 3 oil benefits can make your life dramatically better. You'll feel happier and be so much healthier.

That is, if you're getting the omega 3 benefits from pure high quality omega 3 fish oil.

Why is pure fish oil so different from other omega 3 sources? Quality omega 3 fish oil is the richest and best source of EPA, DHA and DPA – the three omega 3 fatty acids proven in scientific research study after study to produce the following amazing omega 3 benefits.

Omega 3 Fish Oil Benefits

1. Breast cancer protection: Research shows women with a high intake of fish oil fatty acids have up to 50% less chance of getting breast cancer, which is a major concern for most women. DHA is a natural anti-inflammatory that stops cellular transformation and kills off cancer cells.

2. Relief from menstrual cramps: Unpleasant PMS symptoms are often the result of a fatty acid imbalance. Omega 3 fish oil relieves monthly pain and cramping known as dysmenorrhea.

3. Improved fertility: Studies show that infertility is directly related to the amount of fish oil you consume. Fish oil balances hormones, improves hormonal levels and increases blood flow to the uterus. The more Omega 3 fatty acids you get the greater your odds of conceiving.

4. Healthy babies: Fish oil is essential to a healthy pregnancy diet, facilitating healthy placental blood flow and the efficient exchange of nutrients and oxygen between mother and baby.

5. Preeclampsia prevention: The high blood pressure during pregnancy, which is known as preeclampsia, can be very dangerous. The omega 3 fish oil fatty acids help maintain healthy blood pressure and greatly reduce any health risks for both mother and child.

6. Full term babies: Fish oil fatty acids also lower the danger of premature birth. This insures during pregnancy stages a baby has fully formed lungs and reaches a healthy birth weight.

7. Baby's brain development: A child's brain is especially dependent on the fatty acids found in omega 3 fish oil. For example, DHA has been found to ensure proper brain development and to increase a child's intelligence. It also improves eyesight and the development of motor skills.

8. Less postpartum depression: Studies show women with a higher consumption of fish oil suffer significantly less postpartum depression. This means better times for both mom and baby.

9. Minimized menopause problems: By greatly improving hormonal balance, fish oil fatty acids can dramatically reduce menopause symptoms, such as hot flashes and mood swings.

10. Protection against osteoporosis: Having high levels of fish oil fatty acids has been shown to lower your risk of osteoporosis, which is an especially high risk for women after menopause.

11. Reduced risk of heart disease: Heart disease kills more women prematurely than any other disease, including breast cancer. And the danger increases after menopause. Omega 3 with EPA and DPA is your best defense. Fish oil helps lower triglycerides, lower blood pressure and lower cholesterol naturally. And it's an essential part of an all around heart healthy diet.

As you can see, from the time a woman's born until she becomes a wise elder in her family and community, there are numerous amazing omega 3 fish oil benefits. Scientific research can show you how it works, but then it's up to you to start taking fish oil supplements on a regular basis.

Have you taken your breakfast?

Have you taken your breakfast?

i did a simple research today about breakfast and many studies shows that breakfast is the MOST important meal of the day.

Studies show that both children and adults who eat breakfast do and feel better and perform better in school as well as at work. Whether you work at home, on the farm, at the office, at school, or on the road, it is not a good idea to skip breakfast. Eating a good breakfast sets the tone for the rest of the day.

When you skip breakfast, you are likely to become tired when your brain and body run low on fuel. By mid-morning, you might grab a cup of coffee or wolf down a sugary candy bar to wake up again. This might work for a few minutes, but by lunch time you are hungry, crabby, and perhaps your mood might make you a little more prone to make unhealthy choices at lunch.

Skipping breakfast is a common strategy for losing weight, but not a smart one. Many people believe that they will lose weight if they skip meals, but that just isn't true; the body expects to be refueled a few times each day -- starting with breakfast.

Actually, eating breakfast is good for weight loss. In fact, people who eat breakfast are more likely to maintain a healthy weight.

What makes a Healthy Breakfast?

A healthy breakfast should contain some protein and some fiber. Protein can come from low fat meats, eggs, beans or dairy. Fiber can be found in whole grains, vegetables and fruits. A good example of a healthy breakfast might be something simple like a hard boiled egg, an orange, and a bowl of whole grain cereal with low fat milk.

Stay away from the sugary cereals, syrups, pastries, and white breads because they are digested quickly and will leave you hungry and tired in a couple of hours. Protein and fiber satisfy your hunger and will keep you feeling full until lunch time.

If you really don't like to eat breakfast, you can split it up into two smaller meals. Eat a hard boiled egg at home, and an hour or two later, take a break from work and snack on an apple and a handful of healthy nuts like pecans or walnuts.

Remember that eating a healthy breakfast is the best way to start off your day, and be good to yourself by eating a healthy breakfast. Notice how much better you feel through the morning and the rest of the day when you don't skip breakfast.

Fiber Intake

The list of high fiber foods below is vitally important to you. Why?

A fiber deficiency increases your risk of constipation, hemorrhoids, high cholesterol, high blood sugar, obesity, colon cancer and heart disease. In other words, high fiber foods are essential if you want to look and feel your best.

And if that's not enough, eating more foods from this list of high fiber foods will give you the strength and inclination to get up and "go" – on a "regular" basis!

Most Americans get only about 10 grams of fiber daily. That's not nearly enough. You need an intake of 30 to 40 grams of fiber a day for optimum health.

So, book mark and link to this page. It will remind you what you need to eat in order to maintain normal cholesterol and blood sugar levels, plus a healthy body weight.

Now or never!

Now or never!

The weird thing is, people always have the mindset that things will be better 'next time'. But the fact is often yet to differ. (WAIT! Before you got me wrong, i don't mean that things will become worse in future.) But what i referring to is... What you can't make a decision to do today, you will never make the decision to do it tomorrow.

the past 2 months, Pastor had been preaching on the relationship series. 15 hours a week of UNDIVIDED ATTENTION, he stated. will it be possible if you don't start NOW? If you are courting stage and yet you are thinking that things will be better after marriage cause staying together, you are wrong. Undivided attention is not just about laying beside each other, but its the commitment to spend time meeting each other's needs. Courtship is the PRIME of the relationship, and if you cannot commit to meet each other's needs now, you will not be committed to do it in future.

is it wrong for courting couples to be spending more personal times together?
does it mean that they don't want / don't need their friends anymore?
the answer is simple, NO!

The fact is, when 2 person made the decision to come together, they no longer live lives as individuals. Now, they are to commit to one another. If they cannot commit to spend 15 hours a week of undivided attention now, they won't do it in future too.

Reference:
Many students always say, " i am having my exams, important, so i can't serve the Lord, serve in a ministry. After my exams, when i graduate, things will be better and i will serve the Lord." then as the days goes, they grew up into fine young man and now they have graduated with a diploma/degree. They begin to face the pressure of society and parents, to be making a living on their own. Having to find a full time job, they got stressed out and say, "i just need to find a job and settle down, things will be better once i settle down in my job and i will serve the Lord." finding a job, facing new responsibilities is a jiggle. then due to his hard work and willingness to learn, he got promoted. Thanking God, he now needs to spend more time in the office. then he found himself a girlfriend and got to work even harder to prepare for marriage. and then children came along and so on and so forth...

Don't put something off till tomorrow, if you can do it today. Don't wait till tomorrow to make a decision to do what you should today. You never know when it will be too late to ever make that decision.
