Others can, i can't... (Part 1)
For many many years, i grew up in this saying, "Others can, i can't.." and for the many years, these words have kept me align to the will of God. But yet, nowadays people stop using this phrase anymore.
To some people, this might sound like i am restricted to do things, but the truth is, through the disciplining of my life, i have enjoyed greater freedom. True freedom can only be found in the presence of God.
Some may wonder, what are the things that i can't do that others can? Simple.
I cannot abuse my body.
I cannot be ill disciplined.
I cannot be lukewarm.
I cannot be a lier or a talebearer.
I cannot be dishonorable to the people God placed in my life.
The list just goes on and on and on...
This is not about restriction, but instead, a even greater word called SANCTIFICATION!
Which means, to be set apart for God to do His will. I have NEVER regret since the day i decided to follow Him and set my life apart for Him.
But the bible said, before sanctification can take place, there must first be cleansing by the Word of God. Therefore let us not leave our foundation behind because the Word of God is the foundation of our walk with God. Jesus is the word of God made fresh. As much as we love the word, we love the Lord.
Cleansing (through the Word of God) --> Sanctification (by setting ourselves apart for Him) --> Glorification (bringing glory to God)
