What will you share?

Just came upon a very very old blog of mine and came across some of the post that brings back fond memories and devotions.

This was a post i wrote in 24th April, 2007 and i think it still apples to me till this day. Hope you enjoy reading it! :) Pardon my english in my younger days.

You can never influence others to do something you are not influenced to do...
You can never impact others with something you are not impacted by...
You can never teach a lifestyle if it hasn't been your lifestyle...

Today i was suppose to meet up most of my members..
but many last minute cannot...
still i was very happy to be able to share my experiences with one of the member...

and i think it really impacted her to trust God in her exams and to have faith...
i know it because she told another member..
that i shared with her something that impacted her so much that she now no longer fear over her results..
and is able to trust God...
so the other member smsed me to ask if i am free to talk..
at first i thought something happened in the family...
then she say she want me to also share with her what i shared...
haha...

i think wat really impacted them is because...
it has first impacted me...
i have first stepped out and trust God in my results...
when i was young..
and because it has impacted me..
it impacts them when i share it with them...

i think this is really the way Jesus teach...?

there was once...

that we got to first do, then we can teach...

so that night i cried out to Jesus and asked Him...
"God i don't know what i can do... and how to teach...
can You do and teach me so that i can also do and teach my members.."
so God told me...
"I will do it with you.."

that night i went home and studied the 4 gospel side by side...
chapter by chapter...
verse by verse...
and i saw how Jesus go about doing and teaching...

Jesus did not teach on a faith His does not have...
but He was first tested...
came out in the power of the Holy Spirit and in faith...
it was only after He had stepped out...
trusted God...
have faith...
that He was able to teach that faith...
that trust in God...

so today i was simply just sharing my experience on how i use to trust God in getting good results and God had never fail me..
there maybe test of our faith and our stand..
but in all major test and exams...
God had never failed me..
how i would rather be in powerhouse praying than to be studying...
how i use to clock study hours just so that i can go for Cg and fellowship with the members every other day...
how i did make my stand reguardless of persecution...
and simply simply just trusting God..
standing on His promises..
and indeed i did above and beyond what i can EVER think or imagine..
having good cheers through trails and tribulations..
simply knowing that God has overcome the world...
just the child-like faith...

when i finish sharing...
i was reminded of the scriptures i studied..
the way Jesus do and teach...

you can ONLY teach what you have done...
one thing i love to do is to write sermon..
even before i go bible school...
i come out with sermons every now and then as my hobby...
but it was long lost due to busyness...
in bible study when we are to write sermon...
oh man..
i love it...
my long lost art...

i think i love to write sermon because...
it is what really impacts you?
you can NEVER teach what you do not believe in...
so if you are to write a sermon today...
maybe not sermon la but to share something...
what will you share about?
what you share is what has really formed and impact you...
cause it is what flows naturally out of you..
out of the abundance of the heart...
the mouth will speaks...
so what is in your heart?
