The Unspoken Danger
Everything in life requires a decision
and everything happens because a decision was made consciously or subconsciously
but in the midst of it all
there is something that holds as much effect as making a decision
or at times a even greater effect
and the danger of it compared to a decision is higher and greater
because of the fact that its often unspoken
whatever is in the realm of the unknown or not clear
there will be a higher chances of falling into it accidentally
want to make a guess what is it that i am talking about?
that sounds so scary?
that is the EXPECTATION!
how we would place a certain expectation on EVERYTHING in our lives
parents expect children to behave a certain way?
get a certain kind of results?
excel in certain fields?
talented in certain ways?
husband expects the wife to respect them to a certain extend?
be understanding towards their work and other commitments?
to know their needs?
to serve them?
to take care of children?
to do the housework?
wife expects the husband to be concern about their emotions?
be available for them when they need them?
o provide for the family?
to teach the children?
couples expects from each other time?
a certain level of commitment?
how they should relate to them?
how they should talk or treat them?
how understanding or loving they should be?
and many many more...
employers expect the workers to produce a certain standard in work?
be more detailed and excel?
be more hardworking?
fall sick lesser?
come work earlier?
go home later?
work even from home at night?
produce work on time?
employees expect their employer to be understanding to their limitations?
be reasonable about the time they need to rest and spend with love ones?
be understanding that they might also fall sick?
show abit of concern about their well being?
spend time eating and relating to them other than work?
basically the list never ends
and many times these expectations are not spoken but yet required
communication is the key to all relationship
just like it is inevitable to have expectations
it should also be inevitable to make these expectations clear
so that there will be no unnecessary misunderstandings and disappointment
at the same time
communication is not just about "shooting out" all your requirements
but communication is a 2-way thing
it also requires understanding from the receiving party
what is said and not received = not communicated!
Let your "yes" be "yes" and "no" be "no"
for whatever in between belongs to the devil
guard the relationships in your life today!
=)
