what would have been your reply?

What would have been your reply?

When God promised Abraham the impossible
guess what was his reply?
quick quick guess
check your bible, refresh your memory before you read on...

being known as the Father of our faith
all or most of us will think that he must have replied with great faith things like, "Let it be according to Your word, Lord!"

but but but...
it was not so wor
each time when the Lord gave Abraham a vision
or promised him something impossible
again and again
again and again...
Abraham never replied
hahaha

instead, each time he would IMMEDIATELY ACT on what the Lord had spoken to him
In Genesis 12, after the Lord spoke to him
Abraham departed as the Lord had spoken to him and ... he departed from Haran

In Genesis 18, after the promise of the son is given
Abraham said nothing
but sometimes when the Lord promised us the impossible
we often look at the situation and just like Sarah, we laughed
and the Lord said
"is anything too hard for the LORD? At the appointed time i will return to you according to the time of life..."

In Genesis 22, after the Lord gave Abraham the instructions to bring Isaac to Him as a sacrifice
again Abraham did not said a single word
instead he rose EARLY to prepare that sacrifice
that is what faith is wor
more than just talking the talk
its about walking the walk
no wonder he is the Father of our faith
indeed obedience is better than sacrifice

have the Lord given you promises you feel that is impossible
and you never know how is it ever going to happen?
what would have been your reply to the Lord?

i am sure there are times where we will
want to find out a bit more about how is it going to happen, when, who, why etc
so tempted to doubt about the promises the Lord made to us
or tendency to speak or think ridicule thoughts like Sarah

when Abraham is preparing the firewood and donkey for the sacrifice
he did not bring along a lamb
crossing his finger hoping that God will change his mind
in his heart, maybe he would really want to ask the Lord and find out why
why does the Lord wants him to sacrifice the 'promise' He gave
the son whom he love
walking towards the mountain to where the Lord leads
Abraham's pulse would have increased so much,
so lost in his thoughts he hope he could just stop thinking once and for all
set his heart to offer up his son
i am sure thoughts will surely be running through his mind la
yes he is the Father of our faith and he acts upon God word immediately
but yet he is just as human as anyone of us wor

when he just dunno what to be thinking of and saying about
he kept quiet
at the foot of the mountain
he spoke by faith that they will return to the servants together after offering up to God the sacrifice
and when the son asked about the burnt offering
he spoke by faith that the Lord will provide Himself a ram
and in this incident
Abraham's faith is confirmed and because of this
he became the Father of our faith

today, what would have been your reply?
have the Lord spoken to you about a promise that seems so impossible in the physical realm
and you did not do anything because you dunno what to do
what to do when you dunno what to do?
STEP OUT la!
staying where you are, will NEVER take you to where you want to be

and said many many times le
our word frames our world
so if you got nothing positive to speak into the situation
dun speak words of doubt or failure
just SHUT UP and STEP OUT

faith is the substance of things hoped for, evidence of things NOT SEEN
if everything also must see
everything also must confirm, assured, guaranteed then do
then need faith for what
be like thomas lor
got to see Jesus, feel his wound, touch His hands then believe He existed lor
=.=
