After the mountain top, now what?

After the mountain top, now what?

After crossing the Red Sea, a glorious victory
what's next?
the children of Israel went out into the wilderness
found no water
and they came to Marah, where the water is bitter

after a mountain top experience
it often follows by a valley
maybe you just stepped into the valley and came to your Marah
everything had come to point where its so bitter
there seems to be no 'other source'

and maybe just like the children of Israel
you complained against the Lord
asking God, what shall we drink?

or will we be like Moses?
Moses cried out to the Lord
and He 'showed' him a tree
sometimes in the midst of going through crisis
our mind gets so blocked up
we cannot see properly

the fact is:
the tree was there along lei
so when Moses cried out to God
He did not cause a tree to appear
threw seeds from heaven and rain over it
so that the tree is planted there
He simply 'showed' Moses the tree

and there the Lord said that He made a statue
and an ordinance with them
and there He tested them

if a test is all you are going through
will you be like Moses and pass it with flying colors?
or you will become like the children of Israel
who stood there complaining?

Many people stayed, remained and died in the valley
because with pride they constantly look at the past experience
and never step further
while the rest whine and complain
about all that they are being put through
looking at their current situation
they do not have the courage to move on
some are just satisfied with the 1 bitter well they found
with little faith they believe that at least got 1 bitter well
is better than dying of thirst out there wor
=.=

the bible says that
"if you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sigh, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you."

to diligently heed, means showing care and conscientiousness
to give attention to or take notice of...
when Moses diligently heed to voice of the Lord
God brought them out of Marah to Elim
where there were twelve wells of water and seventy palm trees
a place of abundance~

Elim is just half a day's journey from Marah
your even greater breakthrough is just a milestone away
but its only until we are willing to trust God
moving from the place of, just a well of bitter water
into the wilderness AGAIN
to realize the 12 wells and 70 palm trees ahead of you

you dun have to stay at the valley de
after a mountain top
could be another even greater mountain top
you decide where you go wor

what would have been your reply?

What would have been your reply?

When God promised Abraham the impossible
guess what was his reply?
quick quick guess
check your bible, refresh your memory before you read on...

being known as the Father of our faith
all or most of us will think that he must have replied with great faith things like, "Let it be according to Your word, Lord!"

but but but...
it was not so wor
each time when the Lord gave Abraham a vision
or promised him something impossible
again and again
again and again...
Abraham never replied
hahaha

instead, each time he would IMMEDIATELY ACT on what the Lord had spoken to him
In Genesis 12, after the Lord spoke to him
Abraham departed as the Lord had spoken to him and ... he departed from Haran

In Genesis 18, after the promise of the son is given
Abraham said nothing
but sometimes when the Lord promised us the impossible
we often look at the situation and just like Sarah, we laughed
and the Lord said
"is anything too hard for the LORD? At the appointed time i will return to you according to the time of life..."

In Genesis 22, after the Lord gave Abraham the instructions to bring Isaac to Him as a sacrifice
again Abraham did not said a single word
instead he rose EARLY to prepare that sacrifice
that is what faith is wor
more than just talking the talk
its about walking the walk
no wonder he is the Father of our faith
indeed obedience is better than sacrifice

have the Lord given you promises you feel that is impossible
and you never know how is it ever going to happen?
what would have been your reply to the Lord?

i am sure there are times where we will
want to find out a bit more about how is it going to happen, when, who, why etc
so tempted to doubt about the promises the Lord made to us
or tendency to speak or think ridicule thoughts like Sarah

when Abraham is preparing the firewood and donkey for the sacrifice
he did not bring along a lamb
crossing his finger hoping that God will change his mind
in his heart, maybe he would really want to ask the Lord and find out why
why does the Lord wants him to sacrifice the 'promise' He gave
the son whom he love
walking towards the mountain to where the Lord leads
Abraham's pulse would have increased so much,
so lost in his thoughts he hope he could just stop thinking once and for all
set his heart to offer up his son
i am sure thoughts will surely be running through his mind la
yes he is the Father of our faith and he acts upon God word immediately
but yet he is just as human as anyone of us wor

when he just dunno what to be thinking of and saying about
he kept quiet
at the foot of the mountain
he spoke by faith that they will return to the servants together after offering up to God the sacrifice
and when the son asked about the burnt offering
he spoke by faith that the Lord will provide Himself a ram
and in this incident
Abraham's faith is confirmed and because of this
he became the Father of our faith

today, what would have been your reply?
have the Lord spoken to you about a promise that seems so impossible in the physical realm
and you did not do anything because you dunno what to do
what to do when you dunno what to do?
STEP OUT la!
staying where you are, will NEVER take you to where you want to be

and said many many times le
our word frames our world
so if you got nothing positive to speak into the situation
dun speak words of doubt or failure
just SHUT UP and STEP OUT

faith is the substance of things hoped for, evidence of things NOT SEEN
if everything also must see
everything also must confirm, assured, guaranteed then do
then need faith for what
be like thomas lor
got to see Jesus, feel his wound, touch His hands then believe He existed lor

God is still God

God is still God

In life, i think sometimes its not about cruising through life with everything smooth sailing
but instead, it is going through the fire and coming out of it gloriously
that will show forth the glory and the power of God in our lives

this is what makes the difference between a normal praise and worship vs a sacrifice of praise and worship
choosing who to glorify even in the toughest time of your life
knowing that there is always a reason to sing and to worship Him
because God is still God

The purpose of God is GREATER than the problems in our lives~!

"He wept", have you considered Him?

"He wept"
Have you considered Him?

"All of my life
In every season
You are still God
I have a reason to sing
I have a reason to worship"

Through all the ups and downs
Storms and deserts
New opportunities and dead ends
There will always be a reason to sing and to worship
Because He is still God
And has not moved a single bit from His throne

His promise to me:
"Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name;
You are Mine."

last night i was praying and i cried
sometimes the distancing from someone you love
often causes deep sorrows and it tears us apart
so as i wept
Jesus showed me His love for the people
with the same or much greater love

can you imagine the kind of sorrow and burden He carries each day?
if the distancing from someone we love tears us apart like this
being in Jesus shoes, i would be crying all day
how the people doubted Him time and again
accused Him of things He never did
and never appreciates the things He did
even His closest disciple betrayed Him
when they are placed in desperate times
this is how He would go up to the mountains to pray EVERYDAY

never giving up, He suffered long for us
without fail, He went away to pray again and again
for the people who had hurt Him so deep

when we don't talk to the person we love for a few days
or having those one or 2 words answers just because we are busy
causes us to feel so broken sometimes
then have we considered the Lord?

times when we talk to Him and before He could answer, we fell asleep
days where there are not even, 1 or 2 words answers
got so busy we did not even reply His call
how many times have you broken His heart then?

and despite all
He never decides to leave us or EVER thought of giving up on us
EVERYDAY He is still there on His throne
beside the Father, interceding for us

i guess Jesus is the best demonstration of...

what LOVE is all about:
not selfish
not boastful
self sacrificial
bears all things
believes all things
hopes all things
endures all things
NEVER fails!
