Art of Building relationships!
Good, strong, healthy relationships don't just happen and they do not just fall into place wor. You can wish, hope and even pray but yet it got to be built de.
the first relationship ever existed was the relationship Adam had with the Lord. the relationship did not just work out on its own. They got to communicate everyday, spend time together in garden, do things together. it takes commitment to build relationship.
Commitment to:
- Be Honest
to share how you feel or what you think about things. of course this will not be easy as you are opening yourself up to the person and you will become vulnerable to one another. this is something that many people feared and because they are afraid to be hurt, this has caused many to be unable to share openly. but yet at the same time, this is one of the MOST important qualities of any relationship, the ability to be honest and communicate.
- Put in effort
nothing will be formed naturally de. even when God created the world He got to speak it out. He put in so much effort to set things in place that He rested on the 7th day. being God, He also took time to communicate and spend time with Adam wor. it takes effort to maintain communication, fellowship etc de. without putting in the effort to plan and arrange for time, you will not end up meeting up etc de. how often do u 'happen' to meet your friends on the street then went out together from there.
- have lots of Forgiveness
Iron sharpens iron! when people come together, we sharpen each other in our mindset, values and character. this will surely hurt at times and it will not be a easy going process. that is where making a decision to forgive comes in. how many times can someone sin against you a day before you can stop forgiving the person? the bible says "70 X 7 times" wor, which means unless the person sin against you almost every 3 sec, but my the time he hit the number 490th time, its just nice the next day le. haha. so got to forgive again! anyway no one is so perfect that they will not hurt you in some ways or another de, so just forgive and keep forgiving ba!
It takes commitment and consistency to build ANYTHING!
