The Value of Worship

The Value of Worship
Yesterday as i sit behind the hall to do something during praise and worship, i really really want to be out the praising and worshiping the Lord! i was almost close to tears. i was reminded of the people in Northeast Asia that are not given the liberty to come together to worship etc but yet they not stop praising and worshiping the Lord. Instead they are so hungry for the things of God, they would risk their lives just to come together to seek the Lord.

Having the fact that we are in a democratic country, given the freewill to choose our belief and place of worship, have we taken for granted the times we are able to come before the Lord to worship? Hence are we no longer as passionate, enthusiastic, excited and expectant about coming for CG and SVC. Have praise and worship have become a sing-a-long sessions?

The value of worship we give to the Lord is determined by our heart. The more inconvenient it is to be praising and worshiping God, all the more we got to make our stand to give God the highest praise. When it is a sacrifice to us and precious to us, it is an offering, a sweet aroma to the Lord.

Come on, let's never be tire or make praise and worship a routine. it is a time of encountering the Lord in a brand new way everytime you seek Him!

Might have been

"Might have been"
Subconsciously people tend to think of the past or events in their life where they have made a wrong decision or done something they regret. In the midst of it, they end up thinking of what 'might have been' if  they would have not made the decision or done what they did.

The devil only have access to our past but not our present and our future. This 'might have been' mindset is something that subtly controls the mind of the people, stopping them from moving forward by bringing with it all the guilt and regrets of the varies events. Until you can let go of all the 'might have beens' in your life, you will not be able to see 'what is' and what 'will be' in your life.

Somethings might not have happened the way you wish it would be due to some mistakes you made, but by dwelling on your regrets and guilt, it is not going to change anything. Instead it will stop you from entering into your future and 'might have been' will just multiple and bring along more 'might have beens' into your life.

They are not suppose to be part of memories to be dwelled on. Instead they should be the motivating factor for you to be moving forward, to achieve no more 'might have been' and don't let history repeat itself. Live with no regrets...

To Everything There Is A Season

Everything Has Its Time

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
1 To everything there is a season,
   A time for every purpose under heaven:

2 A time to be born,
   And a time to die;

   A time to plant,
   And a time to pluck what is planted;

3 A time to kill,
   And a time to heal;
   A time to break down,
   And a time to build up;

4 A time to weep,
   And a time to laugh;
   A time to mourn,
   And a time to dance;

5 A time to cast away stones,
   And a time to gather stones;
   A time to embrace,
   And a time to refrain from embracing;

6 A time to gain,
   And a time to lose;
   A time to keep,
   And a time to throw away;

7 A time to tear,
   And a time to sew;
   A time to keep silence,
   And a time to speak;

8 A time to love,
   And a time to hate;
   A time of war,
   And a time of peace.

Very often in life, things do not remain constant and to a very large extend, this process is knew as change. haha... in fact it is called change and change is the only constant in life. Changes in seasons can some times interrupt some usual daily habits, bringing about discomfort. No matter how much you try not to allow it affect your mood and activities, but the fact is, it does. That is the reason why some times people will feel moody during rainy days etc.

Seasons are somethings we have no control over. Hence, what is the best thing to do? It is to know what season you are in right now and plan accordingly, be flexible. To EVERYTHING, there is a season. Just like how you should always plan for wet weather program, you should also be flexible to changes in the seasons of your life.

In finances, there will be times of sowing, and there will come a time of reaping. In your walk with God, there will be times of consecration, setting yourself apart. In leading, there will be times to 'wack' and there will be times to comfort.

The most scary thing is not about facing and go through the different seasons. The most scary thing is, you do not know the season you are in and you simply missed out on the 'kairos' moments God set before you.

Anyway, my best friend is in SOT this year and he led praise during the morning praise and worship session. Woohooo~ so proud of him... Now is your time to shine man, jiayou~!

Hahaha... sorry didn't ask you before posting it on my blog. But still, i always believe that good things got to share so decided to post it anyway... =X

What season are you in now? Catch on the flow, dont miss out on what God is doing in your life wor!

Who could have done it better?

Who could have done it better?
Just when i was wondering who could have won Connie Talbot hands down on the Finals of Britain got talent, i found this 24 million viewer ship, Paul! Oh man, he really live out his dream man. Just when no one believes in him, look at him in a manner where he will not make it, thinks that he is weird, he sang out his dream. hmm.... i can't help but to post this also lei. i know i am one year behind time to be blogging on this, but what's good is good la.

"my dream is to spend my life doing what i feel like i was born for, today" - Paul

Don't be overly concern about what people think or say about you. Do what you believe you are born for, today... You never know what you can achieve. =D

Is she good or is she good?

Is she good or is she good?
oh man i was listening to AI this week and... David Cook made it again with his second song... Wee~
but i was kinda impressed by Daivd Archulate's song "Stand by me". i kinda REALLY like the twist at the end, "and all you beautiful gals~"

Woo HOT~ think this is gonna be a close fight wor...
_______________________________________________________
Anyway intro you all to someone who broke the 16 million viewer ship mark. Young, cute, innocent and most importantly ZAI singer! The 6 years old, Connie Talbot who made her way into the finals of Britain's got talent 2007!

Has she just brought you "Over the rainbow"? brought a smile to you? or has she just made you cried like Amanda would?

can you feel that "i will always love you"?

If this is all a dream, will you ever want to wake up from this. Anyway the last one below is the "FINALS of Britain got talent 2007" and she sang just as well~ and catch her last part wishing the father a "Happy Fathers' Day"... so sweet~

Though she lost to a guy at this finals... but the fact that she made it into finals at the age of 6, paths her future wor~ her confidence and voice is really impressive!

Feast of Victory

Feast of Victory
Psalm 23:4-6
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell[a] in the house of the LORD
Forever.

Are you going through a dark valley right now, whether is it in the area of your ministry, relationship, studies, work etc? Fear not for the Lord is with you. Stop trying so hard to fight with your own strength, your own wisdom because the Lord says that His rod will protect you through and His staff will guide the way, bringing you comfort.

the table is ALREADY set before your enemies. Are you too focus on the enemies that you could not see the feast set before you or has the grief from your enemies caused you to lose the appetite to eat from the feast? Let not yourself be distracted, but focus on the PROMISE of VICTORY set before you.

No matter what you maybe facing right now, the obstruction may be big; the choice may be hard; the road before you may be rocky but the Lord has ALREADY set the feast of victory before you and anointed your head with oil to overcome it. Not just to come out of the situation struggling, but your victory will be so full that it will be running over. Our God is a God of abundance. the feast is not just gonna be enough, but it will be MORE THAN enough.

This goodness and mercy of God WILL FOLLOW you all the days of your life. You do not need to be running after goodness and mercy, but as long as you DWELL in the presence of God. The bible says that the goodness and mercy will be RUNNING AFTER you, so much so that you will be filled and running over!

Victory not in our own wisdom, gifts and talents but in Christ Jesus! Start eating before the feast gets cold... =D

Parable of the Barren Tree

Parable of the Barren Tree
whenever we talk about the 'barren tree' the first thought that came to our mind will be the one where Jesus walked passed the fig tree and find it fruitless, cursed it and it withered but actually the parable of the barren tree is not refer to that wor

Luke 13:6-9 (NLT)
6 Then Jesus told this story: “A man planted a fig tree in his garden and came again and again to see if there was any fruit on it, but he was always disappointed.
7 Finally, he said to his gardener, ‘I’ve waited three years, and there hasn’t been a single fig! Cut it down. It’s just taking up space in the garden.’
8 “The gardener answered, ‘Sir, give it one more chance. Leave it another year, and I’ll give it special attention and plenty of fertilizer.
9 If we get figs next year, fine. If not, then you can cut it down.’”

Even when it has happened time and again, but yet until we have done something to it, given 'special attention' and still it did not bear fruit. if not, we should never just give up so easily just like how God would always give us a 2nd chance, there will always be a turning point in the situation.

this also links to the message pastor shared over the weekends about P.U.S.H-ing. Having a Spiritual Adoption over the situation or over the souls, Praying Until Something Happened, instead of just trying and giving up easily. Therefore, [UNTIL] you did something about it, don't ever give it up!

at the same time in another version,
Luke 13:6-9 (NKJV)
6 He also spoke this parable: “A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he came seeking fruit on it and found none.
7 Then he said to the keeper of his vineyard, ‘Look, for three years I have come seeking fruit on this fig tree and find none. Cut it down; why does it use up the ground?’
8 But he answered and said to him, ‘Sir, let it alone this year also, until I dig around it and fertilize it.
9 And if it bears fruit, well. But if not, after that[a] you can cut it down.’”

it is liken that the Lord has came and found that some of the believers have not been fruitful or not at the level of fruitfulness the Lord is expecting, hence feeling disappointed. but here the Holy Spirit was saying that "let it alone this year also", implying that for the 3 years, it has been left alone. Left alone not because God does not care but it is left alone to grow and in a sense 'self motivate'. and this time round, it will still be left alone for another year and the Holy Spirit is going to come and dig around it.

the digging around will definitely not be a very comfortable process. some 'roots' and some wrong values will be broken and some 'root problem' will also be exposed or challenged, causing very much discomfort. but yet through this process the Holy Spirit will also be there to help 'fertilize'.

this will be a time where the strong will become stronger while those who cannot withstand the molding will fall away, revealing the strength of the tree. maybe some of you might have felt that for the past '3 years' you have not been fruitful and somehow you are being 'left alone' to grow and somehow things are not breaking through in a sense. but this year is going to be a year of breakthrough. in this molding process, every failure will either become your stumbling block or your stepping stone; you either become bitter or better.

So no matter what the situation you are in, don't ever stop trying [UNTIL] something happens k. P.U.S.H~
